Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Leeds, this position will be based wholly on-site, due to the secure nature of the role we are unable to offer hybrid working
What you’ll be doing
- Designing, deploying and optimising secure infrastructure solutions across multiple environments.
- Leading technical delivery and providing engineering expertise on complex projects.
- Developing automation and scripting solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Acting as an escalation point for complex technical incidents and problem resolution.
- Supporting architecture, service evolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborating with security, business and supplier teams to ensure secure and resilient service delivery.
- Producing and maintaining technical documentation, designs and operational procedures.
- Coaching and mentoring engineers to enhance team capability and engineering standards.
Your skills and experiences
- Strong experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Expertise in VMware virtualisation technologies.
- Knowledge of VDI, networking, storage and backup technologies.
- Experience designing secure, scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Automation and scripting experience.
- Understanding of cyber security principles within secure environments.
- Experience working within Agile and ITIL frameworks.
