Purpose of the role

To drive technical excellence and innovation by leading the design and implementation of robust software solutions, providing mentorship to engineering teams, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and contributing to strategic planning to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives.

• Design and implementation of complex, scalable, and maintainable software solutions, considering long-term viability and business objectives.
• Mentoring and coaching to junior and mid-level engineers to foster professional growth and knowledge sharing, elevating the overall skillset and capabilities of the organization.
• Collaboration with business partners, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure a cohesive approach to product development.
• Innovation within the organization by identifying and incorporating new technologies, methodologies, and industry practices into the engineering process.

Join us as a Senior Oracle Fusion ERP Integrations and Reporting Developer - lBPL- looking for a seasoned technical professional with extensive experience in Oracle Cloud integrations, data engineering, and reporting.

You will require hands-on expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), ETL development, PL/SQL, and BI Publisher, with proven experience across both project delivery and BAU support.

Enterprise Technology will be replacing a complex, largely on-premise technology stack with a clean new SaaS landscape for Finance, Risk, HR and Functions. We require an exceptional Oracle Fusion Applications specialist to lead the strategy and roadmap for our new Finance technology stack from definition through to build, ongoing run and continued enhancement.

You will be using your significant experience of Oracle ERP/EPM technologies to ensure we implement a modern, SaaS based Finance technology stack and extract maximum value for our colleagues, including use of AI. You will work closely with implementation partners and vendors to translate strategic priorities into a deliverable roadmap, ensuring alignment between product vision and programme execution.

To be successful as a Senior Oracle Fusion ERP Integrations and Reporting Developer, you must have the following essential skills;

• Hands-on expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), ETL development, PL/SQL, and BI Publisher
• Design and develop integrations between Oracle Fusion Cloud and upstream/downstream systems (e.g. Financials services external feeds) using OCI services
• Design and build BI Publisher reports

Some other highly valued skills may include;

• Understanding of financials data flows (R2R / P2P)
• File-based integrations, REST and SOAP API integrations and Secure file transfer patterns (MFT/SFTP)
• Ability to work independently in BAU and project environments

The successful candidate will be based in London. Our offices are located at 1 Churchill Place and 7 Westferry Circus (new BPL office).

We support a hybrid working pattern with 3 days per week office-based presence expected.

Barclays’ payments acceptance business provides critical infrastructure to the UK economy, processing billions of pounds of payments annually for both small businesses and domestic and international corporate clients.

Barclays and Brookfield will work to create a standalone entity over time, continuing to use the Barclaycard Payments (BPL) brand and acting as the sole payments acceptance services provider to Barclays’ clients for a minimum of ten years.
