As a Jack and Roll Driver, you’ll play a vital role in executing heavy lift and specialized transport projects, working alongside experienced rigging professionals to safely load, relocate, and position over-dimensional equipment such as transformers, modules, and other critical industrial assets.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

• Assist with the loading, offloading, positioning, and final setting of over-dimensional loads using Jack & Slide Rigging systems
• Perform pre-job system evaluations and Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRAs) to identify and mitigate hazards before work begins
• Safely position, center, and support loads through proper block placement and load transfer techniques
• Operate and assist with hydraulic jacking and rolling systems during transportation and setting operations
• Perform basic troubleshooting and support equipment maintenance needs when required
• Complete and submit required documentation, including timesheets, job records, FLRAs, and maintenance requests
• Ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and customer expectations
• Support crews in executing heavy haul, rigging, and specialized transportation projects
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You Bring

Required:

• Class 1 Driver’s license
• Minimum of 1 year of winch truck or related heavy haul equipment experience
• Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in dynamic jobsite environments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving ability and sound judgment
• Willingness to travel and work varied schedules as project needs dictate

Preferred:

• Technical training or experience with hydraulic jacking systems
• Experience with hydraulic skidding systems, gantry systems, or specialized heavy lift equipment
• Maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting experience
• Safety certifications such as H2S, CSTS, Fall Protection, and First Aid
• Experience in heavy rigging, heavy haul, power generation, or transformer-related projects

Additional Expectations:

• Ability to work day/night shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed

Work Environment

• 40-70 hours per week depending on workload
• Frequent travel with 80%+ overnight trips
• Outdoor industrial and construction jobsite environments
• Frequent travel based on project requirements
• Variable schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Physically demanding work that may include climbing, lifting, rigging, and working near heavy equipment
• Team-based project execution with a strong focus on safety and precision
