Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer with strong expertise in data visualization, dashboard development, SQL, Azure, and PySpark. The ideal candidate should have experience in data engineering, data transformation, and processing large datasets using PySpark, along with the ability to develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Build and optimize data models, DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.
• Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis.
• Develop data processing and transformation pipelines using PySpark.
• Work with Azure data services for data ingestion, storage, processing, and integration.
• Perform data engineering activities, including data cleansing, transformation, aggregation, and preparation for reporting.
• Integrate data from multiple sources into Power BI datasets and semantic models.
• Optimize SQL queries, PySpark jobs, data models, and Power BI reports for performance.
• Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
• Implement data quality checks and ensure the accuracy and consistency of reports.
• Publish and manage Power BI reports, datasets, workspaces, scheduled refreshes, and row-level security.
• Troubleshoot data pipeline and reporting issues and ensure timely resolution.

Required Skills

• Power BI: Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query (M), data modelling, dashboard development, and report optimization.
• SQL: Strong SQL skills, complex queries, joins, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, and query optimization.
• PySpark: Hands-on experience with PySpark, Spark DataFrames, transformations, actions, joins, aggregations, and large-scale data processing.
• Azure: Knowledge of Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
• Data Engineering: Experience in ETL/ELT processes, data ingestion, data transformation, data pipelines, and data quality validation.
• Data Modelling: Understanding of star schema, fact and dimension tables, relationships, and analytical data models.
• Performance Optimization: Ability to optimize PySpark jobs, SQL queries, and Power BI dashboards.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot data and reporting issues.

Preferred Skills

• Experience building data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
• Knowledge of Delta Lake, partitioning, and Spark performance tuning.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data warehouse and lakehouse architectures.
• Understanding of data security, access controls, and role-based security.
• Experience working in Agile teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
