Asphalt Supervisor

Downer is seeking an experienced Asphalt Supervisor to join our team and play a key role in delivering asphalt surfacing projects safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards across the Northern Territory. Based out of Berrimah, this is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who can coordinate people, plant and resources while fostering a strong safety culture and driving operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and supervise asphalt crews, subcontractors, plant and resources across multiple projects.
• Plan and coordinate daily works, resources, plant movements and construction activities.
• Monitor project delivery, productivity, quality outcomes and financial performance.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members while driving accountability and performance.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements and efficiencies.
• Promote and maintain a strong Zero Harm culture.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• Certificate IV in Frontline Management or similar qualification (preferred).
• Proven experience in asphalt surfacing, road construction or civil infrastructure operations.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing crews and resources in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Experience managing project budgets, productivity and operational performance.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
