Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Pre-sales Technical Support professional based in Beijing, China to support customer cloud assessment and Azure migration opportunities for our client. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud computing, IT infrastructure, solution assessment, and customer-facing technical support.

This role will focus on assessing customer IT environments, developing Azure migration recommendations, preparing assessment reports, and working closely with Sales, Partners, and customer technical teams to support Azure solution adoption and business opportunity conversion.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Provide pre-sales technical support for customer cloud assessment and Azure migration opportunities.
• Conduct customer IT environment assessments, with a primary focus on migration scenarios to Azure across servers, databases, and applications.
• Analyze customer environments and develop tailored cloud migration strategies based on current infrastructure, business needs, and technical requirements.
• Provide architectural recommendations, migration paths, cost estimates, and optimization suggestions for Azure migration projects.
• Use tools such as Azure Migrate to generate assessment reports, including resource inventory, dependency analysis, TCO analysis, and migration priority recommendations.
• Advise customers on Azure licensing and pricing models, including Azure consumption, Reserved Instances, Azure Hybrid Benefit, and other cost-optimization options.
• Drive assessment and migration project execution, including cross-functional coordination with internal teams, partners, and customer stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Partners, and customer technical teams to improve customer acceptance of Azure solutions and support business opportunity conversion.
• Summarize customer requirements and convert them into standardized assessment methodologies, delivery processes, and reusable best practices.
• Continuously improve assessment quality, reporting accuracy, and overall delivery efficiency.
• Prepare customer-facing assessment reports, technical recommendations, solution summaries, and project-related documentation.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in Cloud Computing, IT Infrastructure, Solution Assessment, Cloud Migration, or related technical roles.
• Hands-on experience with Azure or other public cloud platforms is preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud migration, IT architecture design, system integration, and infrastructure assessment.
• Understanding of mainstream Azure products, services, architecture patterns, and cloud migration approaches.
• Knowledge of common Azure licensing and pricing models.
• Ability to use assessment or migration tools such as Azure Migrate to analyze customer environments and prepare reports.
• Basic understanding of AI models and related cloud AI services or tools.
• Project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple assessment or migration projects at the same time.
• Strong logical thinking, analytical ability, and summarization skills.
• Ability to independently produce assessment reports, solution recommendations, and customer-facing documentation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage customers at both technical and business levels.
• Ability to work closely with sales teams, partners, and customer technical teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-900, AZ-104, or similar certifications.
• Experience supporting Azure migration or cloud transformation projects.
• Experience with Azure Migrate, TCO assessment, dependency analysis, and cloud readiness assessments.
• Experience preparing pre-sales solution proposals, assessment reports, or customer-facing technical documentation.
• Familiarity with Azure cost optimization, Reserved Instances, Azure Hybrid Benefit, and cloud consumption models.
• Experience working with enterprise customers in a pre-sales, solution consulting, or technical advisory capacity.
• Familiarity with AI-related Azure services or cloud-based AI tools.
• Strong ability to translate customer business requirements into technical solutions and migration recommendations.
