Data Scientist for Martech

As a spin-off of Bip xTech, it was created to deliver advanced solutions in AI, Cloud, Data Analytics, and Martech. We operate with a highly specialized team, helping organizations leverage data-driven marketing solutions on Google Cloud.

As part of our growth journey, we are looking for a Data Scientist who is passionate about data, AI models, and their real-world applications in marketing. We are seeking someone who not only has solid experience in the field but is also curious and proactive in exploring innovative ways to apply Data Science and AI to enhance marketing strategies.

At Datwave, a Data Scientist goes beyond developing AI models. You will work closely with data to extract tangible business value and generate actionable strategic insights. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing advanced models to understand and predict customer behavior, optimizing AI-driven marketing strategies such as Marketing Mix Modeling, Next Best Action (NBA) models, Next Best Offer (NBO) models, dynamic customer profiling, and scalable Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions for marketing (e.g., back-office and creative agents, conversational agents for e-commerce, and more).

You will collaborate with Martech Engineers and Martech Analysts to build Generative AI, Agent Systems, and Machine Learning solutions on Google Cloud, bringing insights into production through scalable architectures and automating marketing processes. You will also engage directly with clients to identify the most effective AI-powered strategies to maximize marketing campaign performance.

We want someone who actively contributes to our Martech Community through research activities, technology scouting, and the development of new Data Science and AI applications for marketing on GCP. • 4-6 years of proven experience in Data Science and Machine Learning.
• Demonstrated experience with MLOps, including deployment, productionization, and monitoring of traditional Machine Learning models.
• Hands-on experience in Data Science projects focused on generating business insights and developing advanced AI models.
• Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Mathematical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or related STEM disciplines.
• Passion for data and Data Science applications within the marketing domain.
• Advanced knowledge of Python and SQL, with strong analytical and data modeling capabilities.
• Strong expertise in Google Cloud, particularly in:
  • Vertex AI for training, fine-tuning, and deploying AI models at scale.
  • BigQuery for advanced analytics on large-scale datasets.
  • BigQuery ML for integrating AI models directly into data analysis workflows.
  • Google AI APIs, with a focus on Generative AI applications for advanced marketing personalization through NLP, Vision AI, and Speech-to-Text.
  • Cloud Run, Airflow, and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) for orchestration, deployment, and operationalization of AI solutions.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with containerization and pipeline orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to independently manage project activities and client interactions.
• Proactive attitude in identifying and presenting new opportunities and innovative ideas.
• Professional proficiency in both Italian and English.

• Experience in deploying and operating Generative AI and AI Agent solutions in production environments.
• Direct experience with Data Science projects and marketing-focused models, including Marketing Mix Modeling, Attribution Modeling, Customer Journey Analytics, and similar approaches.
• Knowledge of digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics, Google Ads, and related platforms.
• Experience integrating Generative AI models, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Text-to-Image Generation, Speech-to-Text, and Text-to-Speech technologies.
