Cloud Engineer

The Opportunity:

Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As a cloud engineer, you’re eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client’s needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to develop container management software to solve some of our clients’ toughest challenges.

As a Cloud Engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change. On our team, you’ll hone your skills using the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment with currentcontainer software to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your platform experience, you’ll support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are metthroughout the containerization process. You’ll recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you’ll continue to strengthen your skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms.

You Have:

• 2+ years of experiencearchitecting and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS)or Microsoft Azure

• 2+ years of experiencebuilding, operating, and maintaining compliant computing environments in AWS or Azure

• Experiencewith Terraform

• Experiencemanaging Git-based version control systems and CI/CD pipelines

• Top Secret clearance

• HS diploma or GED

• Ability toobtain a DoD 8570 Security+ or CISSP Certification within 30 days of start date

Nice If You Have:

• Experiencewith infrastructure-as-code environments, including activities around the automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing such as continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)

• Experiencewith provisioning and managing infrastructure and applications in Cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Experiencewith system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML

• Experiencewith scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby

• Experienceleveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration

• TS/SCI clearance

• Agile Certification

• DevOps Certification

• Cloud Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
