Data Scientist, Lead

We have an opportunity for you to use your analytical skills to improve Navy mission solutions. You’ll work closely with your customer to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environment to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll develop algorithms, write scripts, build predictive analytics, apply machine learning, and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn that set of disparate data points into objective answers to help military leaders make informed decisions. You Have:

• 12+ years of experiencewith statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis

• 12+ years of experienceanalyzing structured and unstructured data sources

• 10+ years of experiencewith data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining

• 8+ years of experiencedeveloping experimental and analytic plans for data modeling processes using strong baselines and accurately determining cause and effect relationships

• Experiencedeveloping predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization of targeted data sources

• Experienceleading a team, including projects and deliverables

• Experienceleading the development of solutions to complex programs

• Experiencewith natural language processing, text mining, or machine learning techniques

• Secret clearance

• Master's degreein Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Computer Networks, or Operations Research

Nice If You Have:

• 10+ years of experiencewith natural language processing topics, including tagging, syntactic parsing, word sense disambiguation, topic modeling, contextual text mining, and application of deep learning to NLP

• 8+ years of experiencedeveloping statistical and simulation models

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;Secret clearance is required.
