Cloud Software Engineer

This role is more than just coding. As a lead full stack developer at Booz Allen, you’ll oversee a team as they learn new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You’ll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You’ll make sure the solution developed by the team considers the currentarchitecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

You Have:

• Experiencedeveloping software using Python or Java
• Experiencein data modeling, including normalization of data and working with metrics
• Experiencedeveloping and maintaining web-based server applications and implementing algorithms that interface with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Experiencedeveloping task automation using AWS API
• Experiencewith periodic or streaming data
• Experiencewith Linux and shell scripting
• Ability todesign, develop, and implement data processing workflows
• Ability todevelop and optimize data structures within and between routines and for data storage and retrieval using JSON, YAML, or NoSQL Databases
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor’s degreein a Computer Science field and 14+ years of experiencewith software engineering in a Linux environment, or 18+ years of experiencewith software engineering in a Linux environment in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experiencewith unstructured databases, including Mongo or Elasticsearch, and graph databases, including Neo4J
• Experiencewith implementation of test environments for automated code validation
• Experienceworking with containers
• Experiencedeveloping CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI
• Experiencewith Infrastructure as Code (IAC)and tooling, including Terraform
• Experiencewith mono-repo architecture and tooling
• Experiencewith Web page design in JavaScript, Angular, or Python Shiny
• Experiencedeveloping pipelines using the AWS API, to include Lambda and Step functions
• Knowledgeof network protocols such as NMP or BGP
• Ability towork in an ambiguous, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and team-oriented environment and balance long- and short-term taskings
