Data Scientist

On our team, you’ll use your analytical skills and data science knowledge to create real-world impact. You’ll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll develop algorithms and systems and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to help clients make informed decisions. Ultimately, you’ll provide a deep understanding of the data, what it all means, and how it can be used.

You Have:
3+ years of experiencewith data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining using programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL
3+ years of experiencedesigning, developing, and maintaining end-to-end production data pipelines
Experienceimplementing data quality, observability, monitoring, data security, and enterprise data governance
Experiencecollaborating with business stakeholders, gathering requirements, and delivering technical presentations to technical and non-technical audiences
Experienceanalyzing structured and unstructured data sources using machine learning and natural language processing methods
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
2+ years of experiencewith business analysis processes, including translating scientific or technical requirements into user stories, use cases, and platform features
2+ years of experiencewith Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, or cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Experiencedeploying and supporting applications in a cloud environment
Knowledge ofAgile development methodologies, DevOps, and DataOPs practices
Master’s degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
