Full stack Software Engineer, Senior

The Opportunity

Lead the modernization of mission-critical GEOINT systems by architecting and delivering cloud-native, data-driven applications and microservices. In this senior role, you will shape technical direction, oversee the integration of modern pipelines, and developsecure, scalable solutions that directly impact analysts performing high-consequence missions.

You’ll serve as a technical leader who advises on architecture, mentors engineers, and drives engineering excellence across complex modernization efforts.

What You'll Do:

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of full-stack capabilities across cloud-native microservices
• Own major system components and guide the technical roadmap for modernization and cloud adoption
• Developdistributed, secure, scalable back-end services using Python, Java/Spring Boot, or similartechnologies
• Architect and govern cloud deployments (AWS), including Kubernetes clusters, IaC, security controls, and reliability patterns
• Guide teams in DevSecOps execution, including GitLab CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, secure coding standards, and supply-chain integrity
• Integrate large-scale data, search, or analytic pipelines, such as Kafka, NiFi, Elasticsearch
• Partner with product owners, mission users, and cross-functional engineering teams to define requirements and technical strategy
• Mentor and support mid-level and junior engineers;perform code reviews and drive engineering best practices
• Evaluate emerging technologies such as(LLMs/AI, synthetic data, augmented development tools for mission applicability

You Have:

• 6+ years of experiencewith full-stack software engineering
• Experienceleading technical delivery or architecture for cloud-native or distributed systems
• Experiencewith Python, C++, Java, Spring Boot, or enterprise service stacks
• Experiencewith SQL or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, or SQLite
• Experiencearchitecting and deploying solutions using AWS (preferably)or Azure cloud frameworks
• Experiencewith containerization and orchestration such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experiencewith complex API ecosystems such as FastAPT, REST, gRPC, or GraphQL
• Experiencebuilding secure, high-performance applications in classified or highly restricted environments
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
• Bachelor’s degreein a STEM field

Nice if you Have:

• Experienceworking with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance
• Experiencewith AI-augmented development workflows or agentic tools, such as Codex, Claude Code, or OpenCode or othermulti-agent approach
• Expertise with distributed search or data platforms such as Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Solr, Kafka, NiFi
• Experiencemodernizing legacy applications into modern frameworks
• Experiencewith IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experienceintegrating AI/ML or LLM-based development workflows
• Experiencesupporting GEOINT or Intelligence Community analytic missions
• Master’s degreein Computer Science, Software Engineering or a relatedfield
