Booz Allen Hamilton is an American consulting firm founded in 1914 that has spent most of the past century working for the United States government, and today derives almost all of its revenue from federal clients. It supplies technology and mission services to defence, intelligence, civil and health agencies, covering systems engineering, cyber operations, data platforms and increasingly artificial intelligence deployed inside classified environments. Headquartered in McLean, Virginia and listed on the New York Stock Exchange, it employs tens of thousands of security-cleared staff and competes with the other large federal services contractors for multi-year programme awards.

  • Analyze NIST SP 800-53 Rev.5 controls and translate requirements into system-specific implementation statements.

  • Develop Security Impact Assessments for proposed system and configuration changes.

  • Develop or coordinate ISAs, MOAs, and MOUs as required for system interconnections.

  • Analyze source, destination, ports, protocols, services, data sensitivity, encryption, authentication, boundary protection, and mission need.

  • Identify required security artifacts, approvals, firewall, network actions, and interconnection documentation.

  • Coordinate with ISSM, network and security engineering, system owners, and requestors.

  • Maintain status, metrics, aging reports, and escalation paths.

  • Identify high-risk or nonstandard connection requests for deeper assessment.

Join us. The world can’t wait.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience with DoD RMF or cybersecurity

  • Experience using eMASS to address security controls, create POA&Ms, and upload artifacts such as STIG checklists or ACAS scans

  • Experience with the administration of Windows, Linux, AWS Cloud and containerization systems and software configuration

  • Knowledge of NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5, DoDI 8510.01, POA&M management, and DoD authorization practices

  • Knowledge of TCP, IP, ports, protocols, firewalls, segmentation, PKI, encryption, identity and access management, and DoD network security concepts

  • Ability to validate STIG and vulnerability findings, false positives, risk acceptances, mitigations, remediation evidence, and closure packages using ACAS, Nessus scans, STIGs, SCAP, SCC, vulnerability results, configuration reviews, system queries, and manual procedures

  • Ability to analyze system boundaries, data flows, external interfaces, interconnections, inherited controls, and common-control dependencies

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering or Cyber

  • DoD 8570 or 8140-aligned Certification such as Security+, CISSP, or CASP+ Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with ticket and workflow platforms and disciplined documentation

  • Experience with technical writing and evidence-validation skills

  • Knowledge of technical control implementation

  • Ability to read and design network and system architecture diagrams

  • Ability to evaluate ICAM controls, including MFA, PKI/CAC authentication, privileged access, account management, separation of duties, and least privilege

  • Ability to distinguish routine connectivity from connections that alter authorization boundary or risk posture

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
