Senior Engineer/Technical Lead

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced MDM Senior Engineer / Technical Lead with strong expertise in Master Data Management (MDM), good to have experience with any MDM tools (E.g. Lakefusion, Informatica, etc.) and the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing enterprise-grade MDM solutions natively within Databricks, leveraging AI-powered entity resolution and modern medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) architecture.

This role requires deep hands-on experience in implementation, data governance, data quality, and integration with enterprise systems. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data governance teams, architects, and engineering teams to build trusted master data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and enterprise decision-making.

Key Responsibilities :

MDM Architecture & Solution Design :

- Design and implement scalable, enterprise-level Master Data Management (MDM) solutions using MDM tools.

- Define and establish MDM architecture, data domains, and governance frameworks aligned with enterprise data strategy.

- Lead the end-to-end implementation of MDM solutions across multiple business domains.

MDM Implementation & Development :

- Configure and develop MDM capabilities including :

1. Data modeling

2. AI-powered match and merge rules (entity resolution)

3. Survivorship logic

4. Hierarchies and relationships

5. Business rules

6. Stewardship workflows

- Develop and manage golden record creation strategies across master data domains.

- Implement data quality rules, validation mechanisms, and exception handling processes.

Databricks & MDM Integration :

- Integrate MDM natively within the Databricks ecosystem, leveraging components such as :

1. Delta Lake & Unity Catalog

2. Databricks Workflows & Delta Live Tables

3. Unity Catalog governance & AI/ML model integration

4. Power BI

5. Other downstream enterprise systems

- Design and develop data ingestion, synchronization, and integration pipelines.

- Collaborate with cloud and data engineering teams to ensure scalable and optimized integrations.

Data Governance & Quality :

- Establish data governance standards, metadata management, and stewardship processes.

- Work closely with business stakeholders to define data ownership, quality KPIs, and governance policies.

- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of enterprise master data.

Leadership & Collaboration :

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development and data engineering teams.

- Participate in architecture discussions, technical reviews, and solution planning.

- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, governance teams, and stakeholders to align MDM initiatives with business objectives.

- Drive best practices in MDM implementation, data modeling, and enterprise integration.

Must Have Skills :

Technical Skills :

- 6 - 9 years of experience in Data Engineering with MDM implementations.

- Strong hands-on expertise on any MDM platform.

- Proven experience in enterprise-level Master Data Management architecture and implementation.

- Experience working with Databricks and modern cloud data platforms.

- Good to have experience with Databricks Lakehouse Platform, including :

1. Delta Lake & Unity Catalog

2. Databricks Workflows & Delta Live Tables

3. PySpark/SQL-based data integration

- Strong SQL programming and advanced data modeling skills.

- Good understanding of :

1. Data governance

2. Data quality frameworks

3. Metadata management

4. Master data lifecycle management
