About Your Role  

The mission of the Alpha Engine Strategist Group is to maintain a resilient and profitable Pure Alpha at scale by managing clients and prospects to desired commercial outcomes. The driving force behind this mission is our Strategist Ecosystem, the distributed leadership model through which we define what needs to happen at every level of our org such that we are engaging the right clients on the right priorities with the right people and the right content and ensuring quality holds throughout. 

This role is the dedicated owner of the Strategist Ecosystem and will design and run the machines behind each functional area and act as the connective tissue across them. The Strat ecosystem is a net new design for our team, and this role is critical to operationalizing it successfully. You'll report to the management partner of the AE Strat Group, who will be your primary point of triangulation and sign-off on design, and you will partner directly with each Strategist in running their individual functional areas. Beyond the Strategists, you'll work closely with Analysts, Strategist Coordinators, Client Service, and Research teams where the ecosystem intersects with them. 

You will drive the following responsibilities:    

• Operational design: You will collaborate directly with the manager and the Strategists to internalize the goals of each area, design a machine to deliver them, evolve it through time, and establish connections between them. 
• Functional ownership: You will be a trusted voice on the state of our ecosystem and its component parts, meaningfully guide the overall direction and priorities, maintain a precise synthesis on how things are going, and surface/address issues before they become problems. 
• Operational Execution: You will own the full cadence of recurring mechanisms across the ecosystem - annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly, and ad hoc - keeping the team on track and working fluidly and working through blockers/problems that may be getting in the way.  
• Ecosystem Status & Reporting: You will maintain a standing view of how the ecosystem is running - health of each area, overall priorities and problems, status of key mechanisms, upcoming milestones - and bubble up that synthesis to the manager and more broadly to the Strat group.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in a role that required you to design operational processes from scratch, manage projects or programs, own and run business operations, or a comparable function, ideally in a fast-moving or ambiguous environment. 
• A track record of managing multiple concurrent workstreams without letting any one of them slip in quality. 
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders where your credibility, not your formal authority, was what got things done. 
• Strong written and verbal communication; a meaningful part of this role is translating what's happening across the ecosystem such that others can act on it.

Physical Requirements: 

The anticipated onsite requirement for this role is four days per week at our New York City campus.

Compensation Band:

The wage range for this role is $150,000 - $250,000 inclusive of base salary and discretionary target bonus. The expected base salary for this role is between 70% - 80% of this wage range.
