Senior Data Engineer

It’s time to expand our team again! We are looking for new experienced Data Engineer colleagues to join our highly skilled community in Brightly.

Your efforts will support our clients’ data-driven decision-making processes and enable them to achieve their business goals. You can also work on BI and AI development depending on your preference and background.

As part of us, you'll

Work with highly skilled data engineers, architects, developers, and designers to create data solutions for our clients. You will assist clients in defining solution requirements, modeling data, and developing scalable data pipelines, collaboratively shaping the final outcome with them.

You will be a key person in designing and implementing cloud data platforms and working with your team members to choose the right technologies and deliver solutions.

Commit working code, perform code reviews for peers, and help develop the team’s ways of working.

Take your share of responsibility for the team and the project and have the vision and drive to do more than just type in the code.

What are you looking for then? We hope you have:

Several years of experience in working with data technologies, with proficiency in several of the following:

A zure, AWS or GCP

Strong knowledge of SQL, proficiency in programming with Python

Data modeling (dimensional models, Data Vault)

ETL/ELT, data lakes, data warehouses, data lakehouses

Modern cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric/Synapse

Real-time data integrations, IoT & Edge solutions

DevOps/DataOps, IaC, CI/CD pipelines

Ability and willingness to learn new data and software development technologies and methods

Good collaboration skills: You share what you learn, help others, learn from your peers, and ask for help when you need it

Great communication skills and fluency in Finnish (required) and English
