Full-Stack Engineer

Our client is an active investment management firm focused on delivering attractive performance and client portfolio solutions. They believe that technology will play a key role in the future of finance, and have built a robust trading platform to handle scale, complexity and customisation.

Their web applications are crafted with a React/Redux frontend, along with a diverse backend environment that includes C#, ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, MongoDB, and Kafka. However, their tech stack is progressive and developer-led, incorporating OpenStack servers, Kubernetes for container orchestration, Prometheus, Loki, and the ELK stack for metrics, logs, and monitoring. They also use TeamCity for building and testing their code.

The Role

In this role you will collaborate with engineering groups based in London and Boston, creating web-based tools that assist portfolio managers, researchers, and risk managers to better understand their portfolios, control their risk, and implement their ideas.

Job Responsibilities

• Create intuitive, high-performance web interfaces using React, ensuring exceptional usability and handling of high-density data.
• Contribute to full stack development efforts, leveraging C#, ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, MongoDB, and Kafka for robust backend services.
• Own the product lifecycle from concept design to feature roll-out and user feedback assimilation.
• Continuously refine web applications, prioritizing user experience and application performance.
• Promote excellence in UI/UX design within web projects, setting the standard for best practices.

Job Requirements

• Deep expertise in modern web development, especially with Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong focus on React development and a track record of delivering complex web interfaces.
• Proficient in full stack development, with hands-on experience in C#, ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, MongoDB, and Kafka.
• Excellent communication skills, both for remote teamwork and in-person collaboration.
• Dedication to solving challenges creatively and a commitment to technical excellence.
• Excellent command of English language
