Roleoverview
The primary objectiveof this position is to design and develop tools, frameworksand infrastructure for automated testing, as well as automated test suites built on top of them, ensuring the quality of CQG products. We are looking for an engineer who enjoys software development, troubleshooting complex issues, investigating root causes, validatinghypothesesand identifyingpatterns.
Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintainPython-based testing infrastructure, frameworksand tools.
Design and implement scalable, maintainable automated testing solutions, including solutions for performance testing.
Improve reliability and performance and oftesting infrastructure.
Review, refactor and improve existing Python codebase.
Analyze performance test results, perform investigation of degradationsand improvements.
Analyze automated test results, reproduceand report defects in both the testing framework and the product under test.
Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or engineering discipline.
2+ years of hands-on development experience to include:
Strong software development experience in Python: OOP, concurrency, performance optimizations, debugging, modules/packages.
Experience in technical design of code according to requirements and goals (decompose solution to classes/modules, choose appropriate data structures etc.).
Experience with any testing framework (pytest,uninttest).
Knowledge of networks and network protocols.
Experience with network programming in Python (socket,websocket,asyncio).
Experience in C# is a plus.
2+ years of hands-on testing experience to include:
A strong working knowledge of testing backend and client/server applications.
Ability to develop and implement test plans and test cases.
Experience in performance testing is a plus.
Experience designing and developing automated testing frameworks and tools.
Experience with version control systems (Git).
Experience with bug tracking systems (Jira).
Skills and abilities
