Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Ensure orders are shipped accurately and on time by leading daily operations in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
- Utilize and maintain compliance with BD’s inventory control and warehouse management systems to support operational excellence.
- Track, analyze, and report key performance metrics, including cost per case or line shipped, distribution center expenses as a percentage of sales, inventory performance, and other operational KPIs.
- Partner closely with internal Business Units to align operations and consistently meet customer expectations.
- Maintain and update departmental procedures, SOPs, and work instructions, ensuring all associates receive required training and adhere to C2C training guidelines.
- Develop work schedules, assign responsibilities, and manage staffing levels to meet business demands while balancing fluctuating workloads.
- Support talent management activities, including employee development, promotions, transfers, corrective actions, and conflict resolution, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Lead regular team meetings to communicate operational updates, safety initiatives, quality expectations, policy changes, and other key business information.
- Promote and enforce Good Documentation Practices (GDP), ensuring compliance with established SOPs and work instructions.
- Foster a safety-first culture by ensuring adherence to all operating procedures and practices that prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
Required Qualifications:
Associate's Degree
2 years supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work a flexible shift and weekends as business requirements dictate..
