General Manager - Technical Program Management

Role Overview:

We are seeking an executive-level General Manager of Technical Program Management to lead large-scale AI, platform, and enterprise digital transformation initiatives. In this role, you will bridge strategic business vision and technical execution, partnering directly with C-level executives, Engineering, Product, Data Science, Security, and Infrastructure leadership.

You will be responsible for defining governance frameworks, driving organization-wide adoption of cutting-edge AI technologies (Generative AI, RAG architectures, LLMs), and building a high-performing TPM organization that delivers predictable, measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Program Leadership & Governance:

- Translate executive strategy into actionable, multi-year program roadmaps complete with milestones, resource models, and KPI frameworks.

- Establish organization-wide program governance, operational cadences, and execution standards.

- Drive cross-functional priority alignment across competing business units and engineering priorities.

AI & Modern Platform Transformation:

- Champion enterprise adoption of Generative AI, RAG architectures, vector databases, and intelligent automation platforms.

- Lead cross-functional build vs. buy evaluations, architectural alignment, and strategic technology investments.

- Formulate and enforce AI governance, security, data privacy, and ethical AI frameworks across all initiatives.

Execution & Operational Excellence:

- Oversee a high-impact portfolio of strategic programs, ensuring tight control over scope, dependencies, risks, and budget.

- Define technical and business KPIs to continuously evaluate portfolio health and operational efficiency.

- Proactively identify systemic bottlenecks, risk vectors, and delivery impediments before they impact execution schedules.

Executive Stakeholder Engagement:

- Act as a trusted advisor to VP, SVP, and C-Suite stakeholders on delivery timelines, investment proposals, and strategic tradeoffs.

- Build consensus across cross-functional leadership teams without relying on direct authority.

Leadership & Team Building:

- Scale and mentor a high-caliber TPM team; foster a culture of technical rigor, accountability, and continuous improvement.

- Establish repeatable processes, playbook templates, and sustainable operating models that scale across the enterprise.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

- 14 - 18 years of progressive experience in Technical Program Management (TPM), Engineering Program Management, or Product Delivery leadership.

- Proven track record leading large-scale enterprise technology transformations and managing multi-team software engineering programs.

- Deep technical comprehension of software architecture, distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and enterprise infrastructure.

- Direct hands-on program experience with AI/ML systems, data platforms, or automated workflow architectures.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Computer Science/Management).

- Hands-on familiarity with Generative AI ecosystems (LLMs, vector databases, semantic search platforms, AI compliance).

- Prior experience in SaaS, Consumer Internet, E-commerce, Fintech, or Telecom tech platforms.

- Proven background managing and scaling a team of TPM managers and senior leads.
