QC Inspector (Welding and NDT)

REQUIREMENTS:

AWS required

Welding certification level 4 required

Non-destructive testing certification level 2 for all methods required

Experience working with columns and pressure vessels is required.

10 years or more of experience

Higher professional education (Degree) / Diploma in related discipline

Job responsibilities:

Conducts inspections on behalf of the customer in accordance with the applicable Equipment Inspection and Testing Plan prior to completion of production, for subsequent signing by the Inspector of the Release Certificate based on the Inspection results.

Issues assignments and verifies their completion.

Monitors technological work processes.

Checks the contractor's non-destructive testing (NDT) laboratory work, radiographic films for each joint for completeness, quality, and actual compliance with the welded joint and NDT conclusions.

Conducts inspections in accordance with the requirements of design and permitting documentation, regulatory documents, and the terms of the Contract, upon the Company's instruction, issued in the form of an official letter addressed to the Contractor.

Checks the suitability of the work plan and process flow charts during inspection, issuing a corresponding conclusion.

Reviews and analyzes the technology and quality of welding work, as well as the operating conditions of the equipment.

Conducts technical acceptance of completed welding and NDT work, and prepares the necessary technical documentation. Participates in resolving design changes related to the implementation of more advanced technological processes, space-planning, and design solutions that reduce costs and improve the technical and economic performance of construction and reconstruction projects.

Participates in the review and approval of design solutions arising during welding and NDT work, and promptly resolves issues related to the replacement of materials, products, and structures, if necessary (without compromising the quality of construction projects).

Investigates the causes of delays and deterioration in work quality, and takes measures to prevent and eliminate them.

Participates in pre-inspection meetings (PIM)/inspection-related meetings with suppliers/subsuppliers.

Plans/interacts with/coordinates inspection and testing activities with suppliers, subject to the Client's consent.

Verifies the accuracy of calibration records for measuring instruments/devices prior to inspection and testing. The inspection report includes instrument/device information: serial number, calibrator, calibration certificate number, certificate issue date, etc.

Conducts staged and final inspections at the Supplier's facilities in accordance with the final approved test plan (ITP), including observation of laboratory testing.

Conducts control checks during regular visits to the Supplier's facilities and reports on each visit by completing an inspection report via the IMA application.

Informs the Coordinator/Client of any significant deviations, deficiencies, or deviations (from approved ITP, drawings, codes and standards, etc.) during production activities during the inspection and prepares a Non-Conformance Report (NCR) with the supplier/sub-supplier in accordance with the methods provided by the Client, or opens a non-conformance report in agreement with the Client's Quality Control Department. Notifies the Client of missing documents or specifications specified in the inspection.

Specifically identifies activities not proposed by the supplier in the Inspection Report (IR).

Ensures inspection scope compliance and reviews/approves all Material Test Certificates (MTCs), inspection and testing documents in accordance with the ITP "Inspected with minor observations" or "Inspected without observations" requirements and purchase order requirements.

Sends express reports by email upon the Client's request. The Inspection Report (IR)/Inspection Completion Certificate (IRC) is issued through the IMA application. The IRC is issued within 24 hours, and the IR within 48 hours of inspection completion.

If any nonconformities or major deficiencies are discovered during the inspection, notify the Coordinator/Client within 24 hours by email, sending a Notice of Nonconformity (NCR) in red font, along with the submitted Inspection Report (IR). Undertakes to treat all inspection results as strictly confidential and not to disclose them to any other organizations or individuals without the Client's permission under any circumstances.

A copy of the NCR must be issued through IMA within 24 hours of issuance to the Client.

Provides the IR along with inspection photographs related to specific ITP stages or specific purchase order requirements and project specifications.

2.25 If the supplier/manufacturer refuses to allow the Company to provide a sample, the QC Inspector must notify the Inspection Coordinator/Client at the inspection site. Below are some of the inspection stages for which photographs are required:

Material tag number verification;

Pressure testing / Material Identification (PMI) / Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) / Dimensional inspection / Non-destructive testing (NDT) / Labeling / Wiring / Material testing, etc.;

Packaging inspection;

Preservation;

Color code verification;

Paint inspection;

Nameplate verification, etc.

Reviews and approves all applicable documents and as-built drawings (for a given scope of work) prior to final certification/Inspection Completion Certificate (IRC).

Submits inspection reports within one month, supported by inspection reports/IRCs.

The QC inspector is required to thoroughly check all checklist items. A properly verified checklist must be submitted by the QC inspector along with the IRC.
