An established and growing group of businesses is seeking a loyal, detail-oriented Accountant / Bookkeeper to join its finance team.
This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced accounting professional who genuinely enjoys the detail of accounting, takes pride in accurate transaction processing and invoicing, and is committed to maintaining reliable financial records. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing the accounting function through to trial balance and will value being part of a stable, supportive and collaborative working environment.
POSITION INFO:
RESPONSIBILITIES: Process day-to-day financial transactions accurately and efficiently Manage customer invoicing, supplier invoices and related accounting entries Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Process general ledger entries and maintain supporting documentation Manage accounts payable and receivable Assist with month-end procedures and prepare accounts up to trial balance Maintain sound financial administration and internal controls Support the finance team with reporting and other accounting-related duties REQUIREMENTS: At least 6 years' relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience An accounting degree or relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous Candidates with SAIPA or SAICA training and experience will also be considered Strong practical experience in transaction processing, invoicing and reconciliations Ability to manage accounting records through to trial balance Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work A loyal, dependable and committed attitude A genuine appreciation for accurate, hands-on accounting work THE OPPORTUNITY: Opportunity to join an established and respected employer Stable, collaborative and supportive working environment A hands-on accounting role suited to someone who takes pride in getting the details right Opportunity to become a valued, long-term member of the team TO APPLY: Click the \"Apply\" button Apply online at
