Senior Cloud Engineer

Join a fast-paced Agile development program as a key Platform Engineer responsible for architecting, securing, and optimizing AWS GovCloud environments. This role requires a seasoned systems/software engineering professional with deep expertise in cloud architecture, automation, security compliance, and large-scale operational planning. The position has significant strategic and technical impact and requires strong leadership, innovation, and executive-level communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, manage, and optimize AWS GovCloud environments aligned with business and mission objectives.
• Design and implement operations planning to improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Support administrators in deploying and managing Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions.
• Ensure the security and compliance of DoD systems, including implementation of NIST SP 800-171 security controls, DISA STIGs, and DFARS 252.204-7012 requirements.
• Architect and implement multi-region disaster recovery strategies to ensure system resilience and continuity.

Job Requirements

• BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 10 years of systems/software engineering experience.
• Active Secret clearance (minimum).
• AWS certifications required.

An active "Secret" clearance is required to begin employment.
