Job Description

We are looking for a AWS Cloud Application Developer - MuleSoft to build MuleSoft integrations on Amazon EKS and NJ SPIRIT interfaces through the API Module for key initiatives supporting our clients’ initiatives. This position will be Full-Time and Hybrid in Trenton, NJ. With employees expected to work onsite 3 days per week.

What You'll Do

• Build, deploy, and support MuleSoft applications running on Amazon EKS
• Implement interfaces through the API Module following MuleSoft integration standards
• Develop DataWeave transformations and error handling for integration flows
• Implement REST APIs using AWS Lambda and API Gateway
• Build and maintain data access solutions utilizing RDS for PostgreSQL
• Implement event-driven services through an external write gateway
• Write automated unit tests
• Participate in Git-based workflows, pull request reviews, and CI/CD activities
• Create interface documentation, deployment procedures, and runbooks
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and QA teams
• Support integration testing and defect resolution

What You'll Need

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Hands-on MuleSoft development experience including DataWeave
• Experience deploying applications to Amazon EKS or Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and RDS for PostgreSQL
• Experience implementing REST APIs based on published contracts
• Experience writing automated unit tests
• Experience with Git-based development and pull request reviews

Preferred

• Event-driven service architecture experience
• Experience integrating through external write gateways
• AWS Certified Developer Associate
• MuleSoft Certified Developer
• Experience integrating with child welfare or human services systems
• Experience supporting State of New Jersey agencies

Physical Demands

• Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA and other standards
• Ability to conduct repetitive computer tasks utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
• Must be able to communicate with customers and team members over the phone and in person
• Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional movement
