Application Production Support

The leading bank in the European Union is seeking an Application Production Support to provide technical and functional support for applications within the Banking and Financing Services area. The role is focused on ensuring application stability, operational efficiency and service continuity.

• Provide technical and functional support to business users and application stakeholders
• Ensure operational coverage during assigned shifts and maintain agreed service levels
• Monitor application production environments and ensure service stability and availability
• Manage incidents, troubleshoot issues and coordinate resolution activities
• Proactively address tasks received through tickets, emails and direct requests
• Communicate project, task and incident updates to business users and internal stakeholders
• Maintain, update and enrich operational procedures and technical documentation
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and provide training to team members
• Participate in shadowing activities and continuous learning initiatives to improve platform support coverage
• Document incidents and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team
• Develop scripts and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual activities
• Analyze root causes, evaluate releases and patch impacts and identify systemic issues
• Participate in weekend and holiday support rotations according to business requirements

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in Application Production Support environments
• Experience with automation, scripting and operational process improvement
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and production support best practices
• Availability to work weekends and holidays on a rotational basis when required
• Strong focus on service quality, operational efficiency and continuous improvement
• Experience with ITIL Methodology and Service Management Processes
• Experience with Linux RedHat Operating Systems
• Experience with Oracle Environments and Database Knowledge
• Experience with IBM MQ Series Middleware
• Experience with Axway Transfer CFT Middleware
• Experience with Production Monitoring and Application Support Processes
• Experience with Scripting and Automation Development
• Experience with Incident, Problem and Change Management
• Experience with Technical and Functional Application Support
• Experience with Banking and Financing Services Application Support
• Fluent in English

• Experience supporting Banking and Financing Services applications is highly valued
• Knowledge of MQ Series, Axway Transfer CFT and Linux RedHat environments is an advantage
