Working across [Industry Sector], the Sales Specialist will identify, develop, shape and close opportunities that draw on Capgemini’s Cloud Infrastructure Services capabilities, including cloud and infrastructure transformation, platform engineering, digital workplace, enterprise service management, data centre and infrastructure services, cybersecurity and AI-enabled solutions.

The role owns opportunities from inception through to successful closure. It works in partnership with Account Executives, Client Partners, Industry Cloud Partners, Presales Solution teams and other contributing functions to create differentiated business outcomes. The Sales Specialist provides clear client and commercial direction while respecting the professional accountability of each contributing function.

  • Build executive-level client relationships and translate business priorities into value-led propositions.
  • Own opportunities from inception through qualification, shaping, negotiation and successful closure.
  • Work in partnership with Account Executives, Client Partners, Industry Cloud Partners and Presales Solution teams to develop compelling propositions, solutions and business cases.
  • Position the breadth of Capgemini Cloud Infrastructure Services and wider Group capabilities against client transformation objectives.
  • Identify and develop AI-enabled opportunities where Artificial Intelligence, Generative Artificial Intelligence, Microsoft Copilot, agentic technologies or automation can create measurable business value.
  • Contribute to industry growth strategies, strategic propositions, alliance engagement and market-facing business development.
  • Own assigned opportunities from inception to closure, with accountability for client engagement, sales strategy, opportunity progression and commercial outcomes.
  • Develop and execute focused growth plans across strategic target accounts, net-new logo opportunities, renewal and expansion opportunities, and strategic propositions and offers.
  • Create, qualify and progress a strong pipeline capable of supporting agreed top-line sales targets.
  • Lead the client and commercial direction of opportunities, including value proposition development, commercial positioning, negotiation and closure activities.
  • Build and maintain senior client relationships that support sustainable revenue growth and trusted-adviser status.
  • Work collaboratively with Account Executives, Client Partners, Industry Cloud Partners, Presales Solution teams, alliance partners and other specialists to shape differentiated client propositions.
  • Deliver profitable growth in revenue and bookings across the assigned portfolio.

Success measures

  • Achievement of agreed top-line sales targets.
  • Delivery of profitable growth in revenue and bookings.
  • Development and progression of a strong, qualified pipeline.
  • Growth across strategic target accounts and net-new logo opportunities.
  • Growth through renewal and expansion opportunities.
  • Successful positioning and growth of strategic propositions and offers.

Your skills and experience

Your profile and experience

  • Proven sales experience within technology services, consulting, systems integration or managed services environments, with a minimum of five years in solution sales, presales, consulting or technical sales roles.
  • Strong understanding of one or more industry sectors and the ability to translate business challenges into growth opportunities and measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrable experience originating, structuring and winning complex technology transformation opportunities, including leading and closing deals ranging from approximately £100,000 to £10 million.
  • Experience selling cloud transformation, cybersecurity, digital workplace, infrastructure, enterprise service management or related technology services.
  • A track record of developing proactive sales propositions, client growth strategies, proposals and responses to formal procurement processes.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders and operate effectively within large, matrixed organisations.
