Senior Cloud Infrastructure Manager L2

This role is responsible for managing and supporting AWS and OCI cloud environments in a banking/NBFC setup with a focus on security, regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and operational stability. The candidate will work as an L2 escalation point while ensuring governance, performance optimisation, and adherence to RBI, ISO 27001 and internal security frameworks.

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

Cloud Operations (L2 Support and Governance):

• Manage day-to-day operations across AWS and OCI environments.
• Handle incident, change, and problem management aligned with ITIL.
• Act as L2 escalation for critical cloud incidents (P1/P2).
• Ensure uptime and SLA adherence for business-critical banking applications.

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

• Provision and manage services (AWS: EC2 RDS, S3 VPC | OCI: Compute, VCN, Object Storage).
• Manage hybrid environments (on-prem DC + cloud).
• Administer Linux-based workloads (RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE).
• Support container platforms (Kubernetes, Docker).

Security and Regulatory Compliance:

• Implement IAM, RBAC, and least privilege access controls.
• Manage cloud security services (WAF, Shield, Firewall, DDoS protection).
• Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines, ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS (if applicable).
• Conduct log monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and remediation tracking.
• Support VAPT, internal audits, and regulatory inspections

Backup, DR and Resilience:

• Define and monitor backup policies for critical workloads.
• Ensure RTO/RPO adherence for banking systems.
• Conduct DR drills and ensure audit readiness.
• Support Business Continuity Planning (BCP) activities.

Monitoring and Optimisation:

• Implement monitoring and alerting solutions (CloudWatch, OCI Monitoring).
• Perform performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Drive cost optimisation (FinOps practices, right-sizing, reserved instances).

Automation and DevOps Alignment:

• Use scripting (Python, shell) for automation of routine tasks.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps adoption.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)

Audit, Risk and Documentation:

• Maintain cloud architecture diagrams, SOPs, and configuration baselines.
• Prepare audit reports and compliance evidence.
• Participate in risk assessments and mitigation planning.

Leadership and Coordination:

• Act as senior L2 lead for cloud operations.
• Guide L1 teams and coordinate with vendors/OEMs.
• Collaborate with InfoSec, application teams, and business stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience in AWS and OCI cloud services.
• Deep understanding of networking, IAM, and cloud security.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and incident handling.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes.
• 6-8 years of total IT experience.
• Minimum 5+ years in cloud operations (AWS/OCI).
• Prior experience in a banking/NBFC environment preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect Associate, OCI Architect.
• Exposure to BFSI regulatory compliance.
• Experience in DR drills, audits, and VAPT.
