Lab Manager - Poultry Industry

Location: Muscat, Oman.

Working Arrangement:  on-site.

Language Requirements:  Fluency in English (written and spoken).

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager to oversee laboratory operations within a poultry production environment. The role will be responsible for managing laboratory testing activities, ensuring compliance with quality and biosecurity standards, supporting disease surveillance and product quality programs, and maintaining accurate laboratory processes to support poultry health, food safety, and operational excellence.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience managing laboratory operations within the poultry industry.

Other Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine, Microbiology, Animal Science, Poultry Science, Biotechnology, Food Science, Laboratory Sciences, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Effective communication and reporting skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily laboratory operations and ensure the timely execution of testing activities.
• Oversee laboratory testing related to poultry health, product quality, and food safety.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards, biosafety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Supervise laboratory personnel and allocate resources to support operational priorities.
• Review and approve laboratory test results and technical reports.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure calibration, maintenance, and validation activities are performed.
• Develop and maintain laboratory procedures, quality documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor laboratory performance indicators and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with production, hatchery, veterinary, and quality teams to support operational decision-making.
• Prepare laboratory performance reports and provide recommendations to management regarding quality, compliance, and laboratory operations.
