You will work hands-on across SMT, soldering, rework, inspection, coating, staking, and electronics assembly to improve quality, throughput, and repeatability. This role will help define the processes, equipment, tooling, and standards required to scale avionics electronics from development into high-rate production.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes for PCBAs and electronic assemblies

  • Train and mentor technicians on workmanship standards and production processes
  • Support new product introduction and transition new PCBA designs into production
  • Identify opportunities for automation and equipment improvements to increase throughput and consistency
  • Establish and improve production metrics including yield, cycle time, and defect rates

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience manufacturing PCBAs or high-reliability electronic assemblies
  • Strong understanding of SMT, soldering, inspection, rework, and electronics assembly
  • Experience developing or improving manufacturing processes
  • Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or aerospace workmanship standards
  • Experience with conformal coating, staking, and electronics encapsulation
