Enforcement Actions Lawyer

The Enforcement Actions Lawyer is responsible for performing all steps of the judicial process of all assigned NPLs portfolios, by coordinating all necessary legal actions in cooperation with all parties involved.

Main Responsibilities

• Monitors the execution of legal actions by Law Firms, ensuring timely completion in line with portfolio litigation policies.
• Provides guidance and support to Law Firms and Frontline on legal action selection, execution, escalation and court representation.
• Monitors court proceedings, decisions, postponements, cancellations and appeals, ensuring timely updates in the Judicial system.
• Monitors the progress and outcome of auctions, including auction programs, rankings and claim tables, and identifies required corrective actions.
• Defines and recommends appropriate legal actions and auction strategies in accordance with portfolio policies.
• Monitors prenotations, mortgage conversions, lien registrations and other enforcement actions, ensuring timely execution.
• Coordinates with Law Firms, Frontline, Banks, Notaries and internal departments to resolve legal, documentation and operational issues.
• Identifies and escalates risks, delays and issues throughout the enforcement and liquidation process, while ensuring accurate updates in relevant systems.

Requirements

Education, Experience and Technical Skills

• Bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university in Law Studies and active membership in a Greek Bar Association, with a valid licence to practise.
• 3-5 years of legal experience and at least 1 year as Enforcement Actions Lawyer; previous banking experience is considered as an asset
• Strong knowledge of Greek civil procedure, security interests, auctions, electronic auction platform and insolvency/debt-settlement framework
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, sufficient for legal drafting, reporting and direct communication with international investors.
• Computer literacy, knowledge of MS OfficeComputer literacy, knowledge of MS Office
