As a member of the AWAT Technology team, you will be immersed in a collaborative, innovative, and technically challenging environment. We're looking for engineers who are enthusiastic about learning new and existing technologies to drive exceptional production resiliency of our software products and systems. The role will require a strong work ethic, problem solving skills, and the ability to partner with business and technologists across the organization. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of successfully supporting enterprise level applications and platforms. The role will require a high level of responsibility and accountability.
The AWAT Technology Operations organization contains two teams that specialize in one of the following areas: database support or IT asset management. This role is on the IT Asset Management team which requires strong Linux and Windows system administration skills combined with a strong customer service approach.
What you have
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of progressive experience supporting Linux and Windows infrastructure throughout its lifecycle
- 3+ years of experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that affect live applications
- Experience supporting applications in production and non-production environments
- Experience restoring services, addressing disruptions, and supporting secure, stable releases
- Ability to apply analytical thinking and problem solving to complex architectures, technical constraints, and operational issues
- Ability to prioritize compliance, security, scalability, and production resiliency when making technical decisions
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using DevOps practices and automation to improve infrastructure support and operational outcomes
- Experience establishing, monitoring, and reporting operational performance metrics
- Experience with release management, release engineering, and business application components
- Knowledge of public cloud services, web services, middleware, operating systems, databases, networking, security, and business intelligence
- Experience partnering with Agile development teams
- Experience designing and improving operational processes
- Ability to evaluate complex information, anticipate potential consequences, and recommend practical solutions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide stakeholders with clear information for decision-making
- Customer-oriented approach to infrastructure and application support
- Adaptability and continuous learning when working with new technologies and changing priorities
In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
