About Us
We are a professional services firm in Phnom Penh. We have built our own business platform, which we use to run our operations. A small number of other companies now use it too, and we help them set it up around the way they work.
The Role
You take a client from first conversation to a working system. You sit with the owner and their staff, learn how the business really runs, and set our platform up around it. You are also a credible voice before the sale: you show the platform, answer "can it do X" live, and say honestly when it cannot.
This is a hands-on delivery role. You run engagements yourself, with support from our own technical team.
Core responsibilities
- Run discovery with the client: map their processes, their pain points and who is allowed to do what, and write it down
- Turn what you learn into a clear scope and a configuration plan the client can approve
- Configure our platform around the client's process: workflows, permissions, modules and data import
- Train the client's staff and stay with them through go-live and the first 90 days, until they use it without us
- Join sales conversations as the person who can demo and answer detailed questions
- Raise gaps and defects in the platform as you hit them, with enough detail for our developers to act. We expect this weekly
- Write a short status update for every client engagement, in plain language, on a fixed schedule
How we work
- Every morning you post the day's plan. Every evening you report what was done and what was not
- Everything of consequence is written down. Verbal answers do not close items
- We follow a written implementation standard with approval points: kickoff, discovery, configuration, training, go-live, hypercare. Go-live happens on a normal working day, never a weekend or holiday
- A fast "I am stuck on this" is worth more to us than a slow "I sorted it out"
What we are looking for
- 6+ years of professional experience, including at least 3 years implementing business software (ERP, accounting, CRM or similar) for clients.
- Prior experience delivering or implementing business software (ERP, accounting, CRM or similar), from first meeting to go-live. You have configured a system and trained its users, not only attended the meetings
- You can talk to an owner about their business and to a developer about the system, and move between the two without losing either
- You can explain a process, a limit or a risk in writing to someone who is not technical, without being asked twice. This is the most important requirement on this list
- You tell a client "not yet" or "not that way" when it is true, even when it costs us a sale
- Khmer for clients and staff, and clear written English for working with our team and with documentation
- You work independently and you raise problems the moment you see them. Silent fixes are a firing offense here, not a style preference
- Comfort with cloud tools: task trackers, shared storage, chat, and learning a new platform quickly
What we are not looking for
- Pure sales profiles who want to close and hand off. You own delivery after the sale
- Pure engineers who prefer to build and avoid the client
- Someone who promises features the platform does not have
- Certification or a famous employer for its own sake. We care what you have delivered, and we will test it
Hiring process
1. CV and a short note (through email) on a project you delivered, and what went wrong in it
2. A practical assessment done in our office, roughly two hours. It tests how you find out what a client needs, whether you can draw a process so our technical team could build from it, and whether you tell a client honestly what we cannot do
3. Interview with the team, including a short walk-through of something you have set up before
