CI Financial is an independent wealth and asset management company operating in Canada and the United States. It offers investment funds and portfolio management through CI Global Asset Management alongside wealth advisory services, including its US wealth business Corient. The company traces its history to 1965, is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, and agreed in 2024 to be taken private by Mubadala Capital.

At CI, we see a great place to work as one that is a safe place for everyone to have a voice, where people are empowered to take ownership over meaningful work, where there is an opportunity to grow through stretching themselves, where they can work on innovative products and projects, and where employees are supported and engaged in doing so.

We are seeking a Bilingual Client Service Representative to join the CI Direct Trading Support team. In this role, you will help self-directed investors navigate their accounts, resolve service requests, and receive timely, accurate support in English and French. You will work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, regulated environment, bringing sound judgment, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to the client experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Respond to client inquiries in English and French through phone, email, and other supported channels in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Investigate and resolve questions related to self-directed trading accounts, digital access, account documentation, funding, transfers, and general platform support within established procedures and service standards.
  • Support account-opening and account-maintenance activities, including reviewing requests for completeness and coordinating follow-up where required.
  • Document client interactions, actions taken, and outstanding items accurately to support effective follow-up and a consistent client experience.
  • Build positive client relationships by listening carefully, communicating clearly, and taking ownership of inquiries through resolution or appropriate escalation.
  • Identify urgent, complex, or complaint-related matters and escalate them to the appropriate team in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Protect client information and follow applicable privacy, security, compliance, and record-keeping requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and internal partners to resolve issues, share knowledge, and improve service processes.
  • Complete administrative duties, ad hoc assignments, and other responsibilities relevant to the position as required.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Fluency in English and French, both written and verbal, is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • At least one year of experience in financial services; experience in a brokerage, discount brokerage, trading, or investment-services environment is preferred.
  • Customer-service experience with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex information clearly and professionally.
  • Knowledge of online investing products and services, with experience using trading platforms considered an asset.
  • Strong problem-solving, investigation, and follow-up skills, with careful attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to organize competing priorities and remain composed in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  • A collaborative, accountable, and proactive approach, with the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH), and Trader Training Course (TTC) is an asset.

This role follows our in-office work model and requires employees to be onsite four days per week to support collaboration and business needs.
