Cisco Systems is an American networking company founded in 1984 by Stanford computer scientists Leonard Bosack and Sandy Lerner, and headquartered in San Jose, California. It is the largest supplier of enterprise networking equipment in the world, building the routers, switches, wireless access points and optical systems that carry traffic across corporate networks, service providers and data centres, together with the software and silicon that run them. The company has diversified heavily into security, observability through Splunk, collaboration with Webex, and AI infrastructure networking, and now earns a growing share of revenue from software subscriptions rather than hardware sales.

Your Impact

You’ll be responsible for managing a team of Consulting Engineers/Technical Leaders delivering complex Splunk-based solutions and observability programs within Cisco Customer Experience (CX). This role ensures delivery excellence, governance, and predictable customer outcomes across a portfolio of Security, Observability, and strategic data-driven initiatives.

This role balances people leadership with customer delivery, partnering closely with Global CX PM, CX Engineering, and the broader Splunk/Cisco ecosystem to enable successful lifecycle execution, from initial adoption to ongoing value realization. You will drive strategic priorities regarding data analytics and security operations, ensuring delivery aligns with the broader AI-driven CX roadmap.

What You’ll Do

  • Revenue, Bookings & Margin: Serve as the financial steward for your portfolio. You will drive accountability for hitting revenue, bookings, and margin targets, ensuring that our delivery excellence translates into profitable growth and long-term business health.
  • Drive Performance: Oversee performance management, goal setting, and career development, specifically focusing on building expertise in Splunk’s security (SIEM) and observability product suites.
  • Capacity Planning: Ensure staffing alignment and skills readiness for complex Splunk deployments, observability transformations, and security architecture projects.
  • Culture Leadership: Serve as an ambassador of a conscious culture, fostering an inclusive, high-performance team that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Skill Governance: Guide the evolution of technical skills within the team, keeping pace with Splunk’s rapid feature updates and integration capabilities.
  • Strategic Alignment: Align team direction with account plans and adoption goals, positioning the value of the Splunk ecosystem as a comprehensive, outcome-based solution for security and data operations.
  • Trusted Advisor: Understand customer market trends in cybersecurity and observability; identify risks and propose mitigation plans to help customers achieve their operational and security objectives.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships within both Cisco and the customer/partner ecosystem to facilitate seamless delivery.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate across internal boundaries to achieve measurable business results for customers, ensuring successful Splunk solution adoption.
  • AI-First Mindset: Lead the team in adopting an AI-integrated delivery approach, leveraging Splunk’s machine learning and AIOps capabilities to improve service efficiency.
  • Digital Transformation: Support digital delivery initiatives and drive the CX transformation program for data-centric and security-focused client engagements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience: At least 3 years as a People Leader within a Professional Services, Managed Services, or Security Consulting environment.
  • Industry Tenure: 10+ years of IT industry experience.
  • Technical Domain Expertise: Strong experience with Splunk’s core product lines (Enterprise, Cloud, Observability, or Security/SIEM). Proven track record in PS delivery methodologies, architecture, and large-scale data or security integrations.
  • Operational Proficiency: Experience working in a matrixed, global organization where cross-functional alignment is critical to success.
