Partner Solutions Engineer (Splunk Focus)
Location: Jakarta, Indonesia
Role Overview
As a Partner Solutions Engineer (PSE) based in Jakarta, you will act as the technical bridge between Cisco and our strategic partners. Your primary mission is to accelerate the adoption and deployment of Splunk solutions within the Indonesian market. You will be responsible for enabling partner technical teams, driving partner-led pipeline generation, and ensuring seamless onboarding of new partners into the Splunk ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Sales & Specialization
- Serve as the primary technical subject matter expert for Splunk solutions within the Jakarta partner community.
- Provide deep-dive technical guidance on Splunk’s security and observability portfolios, helping partners build differentiated offerings.
Partner Onboarding & Enablement
- Lead the technical onboarding of new partners, ensuring they possess the necessary certifications and technical proficiency to position Splunk effectively.
- Conduct regular technical workshops, bootcamps, and training sessions to keep partners updated on the latest Splunk product roadmaps.
Customer Engagement
- Assist partners in high-stakes customer engagements, providing architectural oversight and technical validation to drive successful proof-of-concepts (POCs) for the initial engagements and co-ordinating with the field team for subsequent engagements.
- Translate complex Splunk technical capabilities into business outcomes tailored to the specific needs of the Indonesian enterprise market.
Sales Process & Pipeline Generation
- Collaborate with partners to identify and qualify new opportunities, directly contributing to the growth of the Splunk pipeline.
- Assist partners in developing technical proposals, bill-of-materials (BOM), and solution designs that align with Cisco/Splunk value propositions.
Corporate Interlock
- Act as a feedback loop between the field and internal product teams, ensuring that local Jakarta market requirements are reflected in future Splunk solutions.
- Work closely with Cisco Account Managers and Partner Business Managers to align technical partner strategies with overall sales goals.
Sales Cycle & Success Measures
- Work with the ecosystem and Partner teams to deliver the technical win throughout the sales cycle, ensuring partners are equipped to handle technical objections and competitive displacements.
- Success Measures: Partner technical readiness scores, growth in partner-originated Splunk pipeline, successful POC conversion rates, and the number of partners achieving Splunk specialization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in technical sales, pre-sales, or partner-facing roles within the IT industry in Indonesia.
- Strong technical background in Data Analytics, Security Operations (SIEM), or Observability; Splunk certification is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Ability to travel within the region as required to support partner activities.
