Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Developer to join our Operations Workbench team. You will be a key contributor to the development of our new, cutting-edge platform. This role is for an experienced developer who is passionate about hands-on implementation and collaboration. You will be a core member of the team, delivering high-quality, scalable solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Software Development: Contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Hands-on Implementation: Work on tasks and stories as a hands-on implementer of code, either individually or as part of a pair (through pair programming).
- Agile Participation: Actively participate in scrum activities such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and refinement.
- Collaboration: Partner with senior developers, QA, and other team members to successfully deliver technical solutions.
- Problem Solving: Address technical requirements and articulate issues or challenges with the support of the team to ensure project delivery is not at risk.
- Learning Mindset: Show a strong passion for learning, with a focus on adopting best-in-class engineering principles and practices.
Professional Experience
- 1+ years of hands-on software development experience.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Experience working in mixed/virtual/diverse environments.
Technical Expertise
- Proficiency in Java development.
- Experience developing and maintaining enterprise-level applications.
- Familiarity with cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging systems like Apache Kafka.
- Basic understanding of database design and development on an RDBMS platform.
- Familiarity with API development and application security concepts.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
