Founding Product Engineer
About the Role
This is a founding-team engineering role at an AI-native B2B SaaS company building the intelligence layer for strategic procurement. You'll work end-to-end - from UI to backend to prompt design - shipping LLM-powered agent features that enterprise procurement teams rely on daily. The scope is large, the team is small, and what you build will directly shape the product for the company's highest-value customers.
What You'll Do
Prototype and ship full-stack features rapidly across frontend, backend, and LLM integrations using TypeScript.
Design and iterate on AI agent pipelines that make complex procurement intelligence feel simple and intuitive to end users.
Translate direct user feedback and behavioural signals into product experiences that land in the real world.
Own features end-to-end - from UX and backend logic through to prompt engineering and production deployment.
Identify where AI tools accelerate development and apply them with good judgment throughout the build cycle.
What We're Looking For
1-10 years of professional software development experience - seniority matters less than mindset and output.
Strong proficiency in fullstack TypeScript across frontend and backend.
Demonstrated ability to work with LLMs: prompting, tuning, and integrating them into real, production-grade products - evidenced through work experience, side projects, or hackathons.
Sharp product instincts and a feel for what makes an LLM-powered user experience genuinely work.
High agency and comfort navigating ambiguity - you find a way rather than waiting for a playbook.
Fast learner who prototypes quickly and iterates based on customer feedback.
Eligible to work in Germany without employer-sponsored visa sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: €90,000 - €140,000 per year. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Location
On-site in Berlin, Germany. In-person presence with the team is required; remote work is not available for this role.
