About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Android Software Engineer to join a small, product-focused team building a consumer fintech mobile app. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to craft polished user experiences and drive meaningful outcomes for real people managing their finances.
What You'll Do
Design, implement, and maintain a consumer-facing Android application used in production.
Help build and improve platform-level architecture supporting core app features.
Solve engineering problems pragmatically, balancing speed and quality.
Contribute to product design and direction decisions alongside cross-functional teammates.
Communicate effectively across engineering, product, and business teams.
What We're Looking For
At least 5 years of mobile app development experience, with 2 or more years shipping production Android apps professionally.
At least 3 years of experience working in a startup environment.
Strong Kotlin expertise, including hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and modern architecture patterns such as MVVM or Clean Architecture.
Experience with backend data formats and APIs common in mobile apps, including protobufs, REST, and gRPC.
Proven experience integrating Firebase services such as Authentication, Firestore or Realtime Database, and Cloud Messaging.
Background building consumer-facing mobile applications, not exclusively B2B products.
Proficiency with Android testing strategies covering unit, instrumentation, and UI tests.
Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines for mobile app development.
Demonstrated mentorship or technical leadership experience guiding junior engineers.
Strong academic background in computer science or a related field.
Experience with platform-level Android development and architecture is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $160,000 to $200,000 annually.
