Cleveland Clinic’s Environmental Services Department is consistently among the highest-performing EVS teams in healthcare, and we’relooking to add an Environmental Services Team Lead to our team to create the comfortable and safe environment our patients have come to expect.

A caregiver in this position worksdays, Monday - Friday from 7:00am-3:30pmwithrotating weekends and holidays.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Conduct general training for new caregivers in floor care, wall washing, carpet cleaning, and special procedures.

• Clean patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linensand sanitizing all surfaces.

• Follow policies and procedures onpatient isolation.

• Stock paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated.

• Maintain cart and equipment in clean, working condition and store in appropriate storagearea when finished with shift.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High school diploma or GED

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others in coordinating multiple tasks

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of experience in Environmental Services

• Leadership experience or experience providing work direction

• Strong customer service skills

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods

• Ability to be mobile for extended periods of time

• Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information

• Ability to move/transport items weighing up to 25 pounds (lbs.)

• Ability to move/transport equipment weighing up to 25 pounds (lbs.)

• Ability to move/transport animals weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)

• Ability to inspect equipment

• Ability to clean, operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning products

• May come into contact with communicable diseases and/or body fluids

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
