Cloud Imperium is looking for an enthusiastic and technically mindedMid LevelMission Designer to work on its ever-expanding Persistent Universe at its UK studiolocatedin the heart of Manchester.
About the role:
You would be a part of The MissionDesignTeam (MDT) made up of designers, a producer and embedded QAs, responsible for many aspects of the game,such as creation of the first implementation of new missions, upkeep of existing missions, Creation of Events for players.
Founded in 2012, Cloud Imperium Games createscutting-edgevideogames that defy expectations.We'recurrently developing Star Citizen, a record-breaking multiplayer online space sim, and Squadron 42, a cinematic single-player adventure set in the same universe. What You'll Do:
Work withyour lead to nail down details of ahigh-leveldesign.
Design,documentand implement missions and gameplay systems under the guidance of senior team members.
Work in various in-house tools includingStarScript, a visual scripting editor, to create logic for missions,systemsand events.
Work closely with other disciplines to plan and sort out dependencies to guarantee deliveries on time.
Actively seek feedback, iterate on yourworkand grow your craft within the team
What are we looking for:
Previousindustry experience on AAA or equivalent titles with a solid design portfolio
A working understanding of visual scripting or coding fundamentals
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across disciplines
A willingness to learn, take direction and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment
Strong communicationskills and an ability to build relationships with other departments
The ability to work with and respect frequent deadlines
