The Role
As Sr. Demand Generation Marketing Manager, you’ll own the strategy and execution of multi-channel programs designed to generate pipeline at scale. You’ll focus on reaching and engaging our core audiences - platform engineers and security engineers in cloud-native organizations - through multi-channel campaigns, lifecycle marketing, and evergreen digital programs. Your work will accelerate brand awareness, nurture prospects through the funnel, and build momentum across the buyer journey.
Key Responsibilities
Campaigns
Own planning of campaigns and product launches that extend across channels that include but are not limited to email, social, webinars, paid, video, and the website.
Work with Product Marketing, Developer Relations, and Sales so campaign themes support current product priorities and GTM messaging.
Define the objective, target persona(s), buying stages, and success metrics for each campaign before work starts. Package that information into briefs that our marketing and brand team can use to inform planning of their deliverables.
Brief marketing and brand teams on assets and messaging frameworks for each initiative.
Plan and oversee creation of digital programs within campaigns built to generate pipeline: partner co-marketing, webinars, long-form content, interactive web experiences.
Manage campaign timelines, deliverables, and dependencies across performance marketing, content, product marketing, brand, and website teams.
Digital Program Execution
Liaise with external partners, internal speakers, and public relations firms on content creation and webinar preparation/execution.
Build landing pages, emails, and promotional materials to support the distribution of webinars and long-form content.
Lifecycle and email
Build and manage ongoing email and lifecycle programs to help sustain an engaged database of prospects and customers.
Improve the performance of our email newsletter programs.
Improve email health and performance through regular testing and workflow optimization.
Measurement
Monitor the impact of programs and campaigns on engagement and pipeline generation.
Report on campaign performance and use those findings to shape future plans.
Required Experience, Qualities & Skills
6+ years in B2B SaaS demand generation or campaign marketing, including at least 2 years owning programs tied to pipeline targets, not just lead volume
Experience marketing to technical buyers (developers, DevOps, platform engineering, or security), ideally for a developer tools, security, or infrastructure software company
Hands-on experience building and running email, lifecycle, and nurture programs in a marketing automation platform
Experience running multi-channel campaigns across email, webinars, video, social, and written content, and managing several programs and their dependencies at once
Proficiency with using AI to automate and/or enhance the work you do
Experience running partner co-marketing programs
Working knowledge of campaign reporting and experience in leading campaign retrospectives or feedback sessions.
Ability to write clear briefs and to review email, landing page, and campaign copy for technical audiences
Ability to explain technical concepts and messaging priorities to Product Marketing, DevRel, Sales, and design counterparts, and to translate their input into campaign plans
Comfortable pushing back when planning strays from the intended outcome of a campaign or scope is not within reach
Familiarity with software supply chain security, CI/CD, or package management is a plus, but not required
Cultural Values We're Looking For
Strategic Vision: Ability to develop a campaign from early concept to final tactics that helps meet marketing objectives like brand awareness or pipeline creation.
Clear Communication and organization: Writes briefs and gives feedback specific enough that design, content, and PMM can act on them without another meeting. Can keep a team of marketers on track and organized.
Growth mindset: Ability to continue to evolve how we go to market. Someone who doesn’t just do something because it's the way it was done before.
Curiosity: Learns how our product and software supply chain security work well enough to ideate on activities and distribution that will resonate with buyers. Constantly learns and develops their own marketing skills.
