Role Summary:
We are looking for a remote Microsoft 365 & IT Systems Administrator to support a small to medium-sized company’s day-to-day IT operations. This role will be responsible for managing Microsoft 365 user accounts, email, security settings, permissions, and licenses, as well as providing remote IT support for employee computers and business software.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable administering Microsoft 365, troubleshooting Windows and Mac computers remotely, managing user onboarding and offboarding, maintaining endpoint security, supporting cloud-based tools, and helping keep company systems organized, secure, and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer Microsoft 365 accounts, licenses, email, groups, and permissions
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective
- Provide remote desktop support for Windows and Mac users
- Troubleshoot email, device, network, printer, and software issues
- Help manage endpoint security, antivirus, updates, and backups
- Maintain IT documentation, asset lists, and standard procedures
- Support remote access tools, password managers, and business applications
- Escalate complex issues to outside vendors or senior technical resources when needed
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience managing Microsoft 365 environments.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems administration and network management.
- Experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive administration.
- Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or similar are a plus.
