Paralegal

This role is a CS Everywhere - Work from Home setup with unlimited access to Cloudstaff Offices when you need it. CS Everywhere includes Fiber Internet, Backup Internet, UPS, PC/Laptop. Ability to use the office when there are Internet or power issues. Pop in and have a coffee with teammates.

We are seeking a Paralegal to support our legal team in handling workers' compensation claims. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and knowledgeable about workers’ compensation system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, file, and serve legal pleadings reviewed by attorneys and other documents essential to the case
• Create new requests for legal pleadings
• Communicate with the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, defendants , opposing counsel, internal staff, and clients to facilitate case movement
• Manage firm's hearing calendar to ensure hearings are accurate and up to date
• Audit completed hearings and filed legal pleadings, and update firm's case management system with the results.
• Serve of orders, minutes of hearings, notices of intent, and other documents issued by the court and assigned to our firm for service

Qualifications

• Commitment to client work hours (9am to 6pm Pacific Time Zone)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Paralegal certificate preferred.
• 1+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in employment law.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in all MS Office applications, including but not limited to Word, Outlook, and Teams
• Strong attention to detail, with ability to observe details on a computer or other electronic screens
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
