We build and run AI-native software for our own operations and for our clients.We'rehiring a Systems Engineer to take on a large share of the systems and security workon a new client foundation engagement, and to contribute to our internal development projectsfrom day one. The role is built toevolve:it starts systems- and security-first while the foundation issecured, andshifts toward development as the work moves into automation. We intend to keep this person across the whole roadmap.
The right personis a strong generalist: ready to work on infrastructure and security today, genuinely productive as an AI-forward developer, and comfortable shifting weight from one to the other as the work moves.
Qualifications
Whatyou'llwork on first - systems and security
- Identity and access.Consolidateonto one identity platform (Okta, Google Cloud Identity, or Microsoft Entra ID) with global multi-factor authentication (MFA), single sign-on (SSO), and clean provisioning and deprovisioning.
- Backup and recovery.Redesign the backup strategy and prove restores against a defined recovery point and recovery time - by test, not on paper.
- Network security and segmentation.High-availability firewallclustering, redundant core switching, network segmentation, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), and retiring shared credentials and legacy virtual private networks (VPNs).
- Logging and audit.Centralized logging and an audittrail across the environment.
- Data protection.Data Loss Prevention (DLP), data classification, and secure external file sharing.
- Workflow platform.Stand up Monday.com and migrate work onto it: the data model, validatedfields, enforced taxonomy, time and effort tracking, and a structured intake with revision ticketing. (Hands-on Monday.com migration and implementation experience is requiredhere.)
- Risk.Maintaina live risk register with a named owner on each risk.
What you'llalso do from day one - development
- AI-forward.Build on our internal projects with agentic coding workflows, primarily Claude Code: planfirst, then work in small steps.
- Solid with Git and GitHub.A branch per change, pull requests, and keepingthe build green.
- Comfortable with automated code review.CodeRabbitis our primary code-review tool; you work its review loop and clear our test and security checks before a merge lands.
- Cloud deployment on GCP and AWS.Build, configure, ship, and operateon both Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS), with an eye on cost (for example, scaling idle services to zero).
- Security as you write.Input validation, secrets handling, least privilege, current dependencies.

- Systems- and security-first now, while the foundation is being built.As the roadmap moves into automation and our internal projects grow, the balance shifts to development-first. We'rehiring someone to carry across that whole arc, not for a single phase.
