Senior Backend Developer / Backend Developer Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Participate in analyzing, designing, developing, and maintaining Backend systems for products/projects in the areas of Finance, Banking, Corporate Finance/Treasury, Digital Banking, CRM, and digital platforms serving corporate customers.
• Design and develop Backend services using Java Spring Boot.
• Develop and integrate APIs, including RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and WebSockets.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring system performance and stability.
• Participate in the design and development of systems based on Microservices architecture, ensuring performance, fault tolerance, and security requirements.
• Write and execute unit tests to ensure the quality and reliability of source code.
• Use code quality/checking tools throughout the software development process.
• Participate in integrating Backend systems with related systems/solutions such as Rule Engines, Workflow, and Messaging Queues.
• Participate in deployment, testing, troubleshooting, and Go-Live support for systems in production environments.
• Collaborate with BA, Frontend, QA, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines and quality.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Backend Developer in IT system development projects in one or more of the following areas:
  • Finance / Banking
  • Corporate Financial Management integrated with banking systems
  • Digital Banking
  • Digital products/services for corporate customers
  • E-commerce or equivalent solutions.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with the following technologies/platforms:
  • Java Spring Boot
  • RESTful API, GraphQL, WebSockets
  • SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Microservice architecture
  • Unit Testing
• Experience applying system design principles to ensure:
  • Performance
  • Fault tolerance
  • Security
• Experience using code quality / static code analysis / quality checking tools.
• Experience integrating Backend systems with Rule Engine, Workflow, and Messaging Queue is an advantage/preferred.
• Candidates who have deployed and supported the Go-Live of at least one project in one of the following areas are preferred:
  • Digital Banking
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Corporate Finance / Treasury Management
  • Corporate Finance systems integrated with banking systems.
• Candidates with hands-on experience working as a Backend Developer throughout the project implementation lifecycle through to Go-Live are preferred.

Skills

• Strong understanding of system design, software architecture, and backend development.
• Ability to analyze problems, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Strong sense of responsibility, proactiveness, and adaptability in a project environment.
• Candidates with English communication skills are preferred.

Position Classification

• Senior Backend Developer: Focuses on Backend Development capabilities and core technical requirements.
• Backend Developer Specialist: Candidates with additional experience in system integration, Rule Engine/Workflow/Messaging Queue, and experience deploying and supporting the Go-Live of Digital Banking, CRM, or Corporate Finance/Treasury projects are preferred.

Bonus points:

• Experienced with Design pattern, SOLID principle
• Experienced with SCRUM, GIT, SVN, REDMINE, JIRA
