Debtors Controller - Credit Control

CodeMatch is recruiting on behalf of a well-established national organisation in Cape Town. They are looking for an experienced Debtors Controller to manage a client book end to end, from invoicing and statements through to collections, allocations and query resolution.
This role suits a credit controller who has worked in a large corporate environment and takes pride in a clean, well-managed book.
Duties & Responsibilities- Manage an allocated debtors book, ensuring accounts are collected within agreed terms
- Send invoices, statements and supporting documents to clients on time
- Follow up on overdue accounts by phone and email, and escalate where needed
- Resolve client queries and disputes promptly and professionally
- Allocate receipts and reconcile client accounts accurately
- Monitor ageing, credit limits and account risk, and report on collections
- Assist with month-end debtors processes and reporting
- Minimum 5 years' debtors or credit control experience
- Experience in a large corporate environment is strongly preferred
- Proven track record of managing a debtors book and meeting collection targets
- Strong reconciliation, allocation and query resolution skills
- Good MS Excel and ERP/accounting system skills
- Matric essential; a finance qualification will be advantageous
- Cape Town based
Up to R26,000 per month (cost to company, depending on experience).
Permanent, full-time role based in Cape Town, with a stable, established national organisation.
