Payroll Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Payroll Specialist to lead and manage all payroll for utility companies facing emergencies and power outages. They will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and executing; while supporting and assisting the rest of the corporate team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily sales postings and reconcile sales transactions
• Verify and upload accounts payable invoices into our accounting system
• Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy
• Process payroll efficiently and accurately, including handling garnishments
• Maintain high standards of data entry accuracy and completeness
• Collaborate with team members to accomplish departmental goals
• Handle sensitive financial and payroll information with confidentiality
• Assisting with any additional duties needed

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
• Proven experience in accurate and dependable data entry
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial and payroll information
• Team player mindset
