Informatica Data Quality/Data Governance Functional Consultant

Job Summary

Serve as a seasoned functional consultant specializing in Informatica cloud data governance and metadata solutions for retail banking translating complex business requirements into scalable data governance frameworks that enhance data trust regulatory compliance and analytical value while collaborating across hybrid teams in a day shift work model.

Responsibilities

• Drive end to end functional consulting activities by translating retail banking data governance needs into practical configurations across Informatica cloud platforms to improve data quality and regulatory compliance outcomes
• Define detailed business requirements for data lineage metadata management and data marketplace capabilities ensuring alignment with retail banking processes such as deposits lending cards and digital channels
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to design data governance workflows leveraging Informatica AXON and data catalog capabilities that support clear ownership stewardship and approval paths
• Configure and validate metadata structures in Infa Cloud Metadata Cmd Center and Informatica EDC so that critical banking data elements are consistently documented discoverable and trusted by analytics and reporting teams
• Develop and refine use cases for Infa Cloud Data Marketplace enabling secure and efficient data sharing across risk compliance marketing and operations while enforcing policy driven access controls
• Establish robust data quality and governance rules in Infa Cloud Data Gov and Catalog that reflect regulatory expectations for retail banking including KYC AML credit risk monitoring and customer privacy
• Guide stakeholders through impact assessments of data changes by using catalog and lineage insights to reduce operational risk minimize reporting discrepancies and improve audit readiness
• Produce comprehensive functional specifications and user stories that describe data governance behaviors exception handling and approval flows enabling engineering teams to implement solutions with clarity and accuracy
• Conduct functional testing and user acceptance validation for data governance and marketplace features ensuring that metadata lineage workflows and stewardship processes operate reliably under real world banking scenarios
• Provide structured functional training and coaching to data stewards business analysts and compliance partners so they can effectively use AXON EDC and associated cloud tools to manage their data assets
• Monitor adoption metrics and user feedback for the implemented governance capabilities and iteratively refine configurations to maximize business value and operational efficiency in hybrid work settings
• Document governance standards data definitions and usage guidelines in a clear accessible way so that retail banking teams can consistently interpret and apply shared data assets across channels
• Align daily consulting activities with the organization purpose by enabling ethical transparent and well governed use of customer data contributing to safer financial services and improved societal trust in banking

Qualifications

• Demonstrate extensive functional consulting experience of more than twelve years with strong focus on enterprise data governance solutions in complex financial services environments
• Show advanced hands on expertise in Infa Cloud Metadata Cmd Center Infa Cloud Data Marketplace Infa Cloud Data Gov and Catalog ensuring confident design and configuration of integrated governance workflows
• Apply deep practical knowledge of Informatica EDC to drive effective metadata discovery lineage analysis and asset classification for large scale retail banking data ecosystems
• Leverage substantial experience in Informatica AXON Data Govern to define governance frameworks stewardship models and collaborative workflows that reflect the realities of regulated banking operations
• Bring proven domain expertise in retail banking including familiarity with core banking systems customer lifecycle processes product portfolios branch and digital operations and regulatory reporting needs
• Utilize strong skills in requirements elicitation stakeholder communication and documentation to bridge business expectations with technical implementation in hybrid work models without travel obligations
• Demonstrate proficiency in data modeling data quality practices and reference data management concepts to support robust governance design and sustainable data marketplace offerings
• Employ solid understanding of risk compliance privacy and regulatory standards relevant to retail banking to ensure that governance configurations and data usage patterns remain safe and compliant

Certifications Required

Preferred certifications include Informatica Certified Professional in Data Governance or Metadata Management and any recognized data management or banking domain certification.
