We are looking for a General Manager to lead Coins.ph in the Philippines. As the country head, you will own the local business end to end: setting and delivering the growth strategy, accountable for the P&L, and representing Coins.ph to the BSP, the SEC, and the wider government and policy community. You will be the face of the company in the market and a key voice in how the Philippines' digital asset and fintech landscape develops.
This role suits a senior, well-networked leader from a digital bank, fintech, or regulated financial institution who is comfortable operating in a high-growth, fast-moving environment, and who can combine commercial ownership with credibility in front of regulators.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the Philippines business plan and P&L, setting targets and delivering revenue, growth, and profitability goals across consumer, merchant, and institutional segments.
- Lead and develop the local leadership team and the Philippines organization, building a high-performance, compliance-first culture.
- Work with Group leadership, Product, and Engineering to shape the product roadmap around local market needs, regulatory developments, and competitive moves.
- Assess and develop new product and partnership opportunities that deliver significant, long-term revenue potential.
- Act as the primary point of contact with the BSP and the SEC, managing all regulatory interactions, inquiries, examinations, and compliance-related engagements.
- Serve as the main window for all Government Relations (GR) matters, overseeing and resolving GR-related cases across relevant agencies such as the AMLC, the National Privacy Commission, and the BIR.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior officials, policymakers, and industry bodies, and represent Coins.ph in consultations on emerging digital asset and payments regulation.
- Partner closely with the Chief Compliance Officer, Legal, and Risk to ensure the business operates within regulatory requirements and licensing conditions at all times.
- Build and grow strategic relationships with banks, digital banks, fintechs, payment providers, and institutional clients to expand Coins.ph's reach and product offering.
- Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for institutional and B2B clients in line with business plan targets, increasing wallet share and client satisfaction for existing relationships.
- Represent the interests of clients and partners within the broader Coins and AsiaNext ecosystem.
- Act as the public face of Coins.ph in the Philippines, speaking at industry events, media engagements, and community activities to strengthen the company's presence and credibility.
- Brainstorm and champion new, creative growth strategies that deepen trust and adoption among Filipino users.
- The role involves travel for regulator and stakeholder meetings, regional roadshows, and Group alignment sessions.
