Manager Technology Procurement

Group Procurement partners with Group Technology and business stakeholders to maximise value from our strategic supplier relationships. The IT Services Procurement team is responsible for managing the commercial lifecycle of technology services suppliers that enable the Bank’s transformation agenda, operational excellence, and customer outcomes.

Do work that matters:

Reporting to the Executive Manager, IT Services Procurement, this role is responsible for managing the commercial lifecycle of key technology services suppliers that support Group Technology and broader business priorities.

The role will work closely with technology, architecture, engineering, security, risk, legal and finance stakeholders to deliver sourcing outcomes, support supplier relationships and contribute to transformation programs. This is an opportunity to help improve the Bank’s supplier landscape while delivering value, service, innovation and risk management outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage and deliver sourcing, renewal and negotiation initiatives across the IT Services portfolio.

• Build effective working relationships across Group Technology and relevant business areas.

• Support the governance of key technology suppliers through contract management, supplier performance reviews, commercial governance and value realisation activities.

• Ensure sourcing activities and supplier engagements align with the Group Supplier Lifecycle Policy and applicable procurement, risk, security and regulatory requirements.

• Contribute to the delivery of the broader IT Services procurement portfolio, including renewals, panel arrangements, transformation programs, supplier segmentation and cost optimisation opportunities.

• Provide commercial analysis, market insights and recommendations to support procurement decisions and business outcomes.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

• Experience in technology procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier management or commercial management within a large or complex organisation.

• A sound understanding of IT services, managed services, professional services, cloud, software and technology supplier ecosystems.

• Experience managing commercial negotiations and delivering value through sourcing and supplier management activities.

• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence across a range of levels.

• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to balance cost, risk, service and business outcomes.

• Experience working within governance, risk and regulatory frameworks.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

• A growth mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and better ways of working.
